Interview to Mr. Raoul Imbach, Diplomat from Switzerland On Sept 02, 2011, at the Embassy of Switzerland Mr. Raoul Imbach was 3 yrs living in Korea. His impression to about the country. ¡°Korea evolve from the time I arrive¡± He said ¡°From my first year, it¡¯s a bit difficult of course it¡¯s not easy to adjust particularly from the complexity of the Language and the large size of the city. But then after 3 years I feel comfortable. Koreans attitudes are ¡°more fear and more Shyness¡± particularly the women. They are very reluctant and secretive, it¡¯s difficult for me to interact to them. For me, eye contact is important when conversing people. But I never exepreince any discrimination here. Korean ladies are slimmer compared to European ladies. Korean young generations are very Fashionable, they made their own style. But Korean Ajumas have the same dress and hair styles. The number of Koreans living in Switzerland are 1000. While the number of Swiss living in Korea was 200 including 100 students, around 50-10 married to Koreans Ambassadors favorite Korean food is the Pancakes with Maggoli. He also love Bibimpop, bulgogi and all those Berbeques. Unfortunately he is not a fan of Kimchi because he is not fan of vegetables. Whenever he saw interracial children he thinks they are mostly Asian. Asian touch is stronger than European. In particular, Switzerland known as high quality but inexpensive for higher education. It is cheaper than AMERICA. If you want to enroll in a Hotel Schools in Switzerland. Switzerland has a huge tourist Mass. Tourists are drawn to Switzerland's Alpine climate and landscapes, in particular for skiing and mountaineering. One of our best tourist attraction is the ¡°YUNG PA york¡± most of the tourist love to go in this place because it¡¯s a well known in Switzerland. But we also have fantastic Museums, Arts & Galleries also architectural designs. Adding. ¡°I think Korean government should integrate the society. They should continue on that track. It is very important to realize for a new country, its important to Accept other people and to let them IN¡± Young swizz people love to travel, Asian country is one of there main prospect for attraction. So far we don¡¯t seen a big masses(foreigners) in Korea. Therefore I hope in the near future it will expand. We are very lucky that on next year 2012, we will celebrate a special event (50th Anniversary of Switzerland in Korea) I hope to continue integrate the foreigners into the society. For my prospective, is to provide a STAGE that would be open for the foreigners to perform a music, because MUSIC is a good way of presentation/expression¡± Interviewed by.
