"In order to develop multicultural society, The cultures and customs of the foreigners should be allowed.”
The UAE Ambassador, H.E Abdullah M. ALMAAINAH has been living in Korea for about 5 years, together with his beautiful and kind hearted wife.
He illustrates the country by saying “Korea is a developed country; It has made available all the facilities and incentives to become attractive and friendly to those who come to serve their countries. The Emiratis have a very good impression about Korean products particularly home appliance and electronics, because of their good quality and price competitiveness.
He portrays Koreans as friendly, peaceful and respectful to the elder and to the guest of the country.
The Bilateral diplomatic relations of KOREA - UAE establish in 1980. Around 7. 557 million Population as of the year‘2010. UAE has the world's seventh largest oil reserves.
Today, the UAE offers a comprehensive education to all citizens students being provided free at all levels.
Most of the biggest Korean companies are located in the United Arab Emirates and many engineers, employees, newlyweds and tourists are staying there. The Ambassador believes that many Koreans have been living in UAE, that includes representatives of major Korean firms, engineers, laborers working in a Korean construction companies and living with their families as well.
The population is about 5,700,000 but only 20% is originally from there, people from 180 countries are making up 80% of the population. And most of them are from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
In Korea, currently there are only 14 undergraduate students and the other 12 are trainees in the Korean Universities. No marriage between Korean and Emirati has been told before.
He introduced the social progress of the multicultural society in his country, “Our government are working for the friendly relations with other countries and accepting foreign cultures, tradition. And we are trying to be friendly to make foreigners comfortable. If Korea starts accepting their cultures, it would help for the multicultural society to be better.
