“Diverse occupation and education are necessary for a multicultural society”

Interview with resigning Cambodian ambassador, Lim Samkol

Having completed a 5 year term and returning to his hometown, the ambassador Lim Samkol said, “I don’t want to leave Korea which I became very close to, and I love” and “I truly thank all the Koreans”

He said “about 9,000 Cambodian workers and 4,000 Cambodian immigrant women through marriage are currently living in Korea” and he wanted to make sure that “all the Cambodians can work in many different fields with special attention to education and problems in the workforce”

He also stated, “My sincere gratitude to president Lee Myung Bak, for his thoughtful consideration and mayor of Incheon, Ahn Sang Su”, and he is expecting a great development of Incheon city.
