Filipino and korean spouse Association 주최로 매년 다문화가정 아이들을 위한 문제풀기 Bee Contest 행사가 서울 하나 다문화 센터에서 개최되었다 이 자리에 참석한 icfw 신광열 회장은 대회에 참석한 어린 학생들에게 그들의 인기가 있는 엄청난 “스타의 꿈“ 보다는 실속 있는 미래의 희망으로 간호사, 기술자격증, 일반 행정사무관, 경찰관, 교사, 사회복지사 공무원 그리고 의사 변호사 등 직업을 가지도록 열심히 공부하여 여러분을 위해 머나먼 고향을 떠나 우리나라 이곳에서 고생하는 부모님들에게 그 고마움의 은혜를 꼭 갚아야 할 것이라고 메시지를 전하다.
참가한 다문화가정 부모님들의 의하면 자녀들을 키우기가 매우 어렵다고 한다.공부하는 것에 흥미가 없고, 우리 한국어의 이해력과 설득력 부족하고, 많은 친구들과 잘 어울리지 못하고, 가끔 선생님들에게 차별대우를 받는 경우, 마지막으로 중요한 것은 부모님의 적극적인 자녀들에 관심과, 아주 부족한 경제력으로 자녀들 후원 못하는 경우의 문제점들의 예를 들다.
